Out in the Stands

It’s the Minnesota Twins versus the Detroit Tigers at the amazing Target Field in downtown Minneapolis, and with 1,000 tickets reserved for the World Series and the Twin Cities gay community, the rainbow flags will be flying high.

Tickets are $40, including a special T-shirt. You’ll be able to pick up the tickets and your T-shirt when you register on-site for the tournament here in the Twin Cities. (In other words, ignore the August 2 that’s listed on Lavender’s website.)

So whether you’re into jocks, cops, or firemen, there’ll be something to float your boat. Plus, there’s loot to take home: A $500 Delta voucher to the best overall uniform, and $100 Target gift cards to winners of the sport and “other” uniform categories. It’s also Cabin Fever, with your favorite games: Bean bag toss, nail-it, and more. Cover is $15, which includes a beer bust and benefits the 2012 Gay Softball World Series.

Act fast and bid on this Mediterranean cruise

Great news and a great opportunity! RSVP Vacations, the premier gay and lesbian cruise line, has donated a stateroom for two people on its Mediterranean cruise this summer. We’re auctioning off the cruise now on eBay. The auction ends February 10, so act fast.
The seven-night cruise runs from June 29 to July 6, 2012, and includes a VC Deluxe Verandah Outside Stateroom. The cruise takes you from Barcelona to Morocco and back. The package is valued at $3,685, and bidding starts at just $500.

It’s easy to sign up, and you can expect to hear from us about monthly leading up to the tournament, and a bit more as the date gets closer.
